When life gives you lemons…
When Handsome Husband and I bought this tree three years ago, the good folks at the nursery had lost the tag. They knew it was a citrus, they weren’t sure just which citrus. They offered us the experience of a mystery adventure for 35% off. We went for it.
This is our first harvest. I have no idea what we will do with all of these lemons. I am open to suggestions.
Please notice the tomatoes in the background. Those plants came free with a dresser purchased through Craigslist. The couple was leaving town the next day and planning on throwing the plants out.
Please submit your ideas for what can be done with all of these lemons. Best idea wins a zesty prize!

I must confess I stole this off a website, but I thought it was interesting none-the-less:
Make preserved lemons: Slice lemons into quarters and pack tightly into sterilised jars with coarse sea salt, black peppercorns and a few bay leaves. Cover completely with freshly squeezed lemon juice and leave in a dark, warm place for a month, shaking occasionally. Rinse each lemon before use and enjoy in salads, stews, cous cous and pasta dishes.
Make some homemade limocello. It only uses lemon zest though (so make lemonade with the juice???)

You can give them to me! I LOVE lemons! you could also make a fun flower arrangement with them for my holiday party on the 19th of which you and Bill are invited. Sorry these are all very selfish suggestions!
ummm, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade?
