Savannah Bee Company has outlets all over town. They’re honey is amazing, and they have a whole line of skincare products.

You never know what you’ll find while shopping for art supplies at Starlandia. But it’ll be interesting and entertaining. Head around the corner to Picker Joe’s for antique mall fun.
SPECIALTY FOODS
Chinatown Market looks like a deceptively unimpressive bodega. Unless you know about the secret door to the back room full of Asian ingredients. Also, don’t be afraid to open the giant walk-in doors, that’s where you’ll find fresh Asian produce.
Frali Gourmet makes their own pasta. At $5 per pound, you couldn’t make your own for that. They also have some Italian groceries, frozen ravioli, and pre-made entrees.
Brighter Day is the best local health food store. The staff is friendly and knowledgable about all things relating to vitamins, supplements, oils, etc. They have an extensive bulk selection of grains and spices.
Al Madinneh Halel Meat and Grocery is your go-to for all things Middle eastern.
Krishna is your go-to for Indian groceries. It’s a little bit of a drive, but well worth the trip to stock up on your fave curry ingredients.
Don’t forget FANCY PARKERS: the 24 hour downtown gas station/convenience store famous for 2am fried chicken and biscuits, imported wine, jewelry, housewares and clothes.
BARS
ROOFTOP BARS
Peregrin at Perry lane hotel is one of my faves.
Rocks on the Roof and Cotton Sails are adjacent on the river and perfect for roof hopping.
Sorry Charlie’s has great frosé and crab wontons.
The Aleta has river and bridge views.
Plant Riverside has 2 rooftop bars and the Baobab Lounge—with a South African food and drink menu.
OTHER BARS
Two Tides, Service Brewery and Southbound all serve up their own house brewed beer. Moon River has a full bar and food menu as well.
Starland Yard is perfect for social distancing. The complex is mostly outdoor, made of used shipping containers. They have a revolving menu of food trucks.
For gritty local fun, check out Pinkies, Moodrights, Lone Wolf, the Wormhole, Black Rabbit and the American Legion bar.
For a swankier good time, don’t miss Savoy Society and Water Witch Tiki.
